Principal Shane Lausch
Dear Students, Parents, and Guests:
Welcome to Eau Claire High School, the home of the "Fighting Beavers." We hope that Eau Claire High School will be educationally profitable to all students.
From its inception, Eau Claire High School has grown from a rural school to an outstanding high school that the community can be very proud to have. Eau Claire High School is known in the community for its willingness to work with the community and embrace innovative programs. We are sought by the community agencies that want to do something unique. Our staff is extremely talented. Several teachers were involved in writing the new language arts, math, science, and social studies curriculum for the BSISD. Recently, new staff assignments at Eau Claire High School have produced young and dynamic teachers working together with the experienced and veteran staff for the benefit of students. With an enrollment of 250 high school students, a caring staff is committed to meet the needs of our diverse population.
The school functions on a four-block schedule with a mini-class scheduled in the middle of the school day. Every class meets for 80 minutes, except for the mini-class that meets for 50 minutes. These extended class periods accommodate a variety of techniques for instruction and assessment and improve the student/teacher relationship.
Eau Claire High School participates in the Red Arrow Conference. All coaches and students take pride in participating in academic and athletic competition. We take our conference competition seriously, but all athletes learn to enjoy their activity in victory or defeat. At Eau Claire High School we promote and recognize sportsmanship at all times.
The goal of Eau Claire High School is to prepare all students for the world of work. Recent trends indicate that employers will demand ever higher levels of competence in the basic skills. Students entering the job market after high school will find that only the most highly qualified graduates are hired. a carefully planned high school program will be essential to future success in the world-of-work or for a college/trade school education.
We expect all students to achieve the high academic standards at Eau Claire High School. We expect all students to perform at the highest level of their ability. With parents, students, and teachers working as a team, we believe that all students will receive a quality education here at Eau Claire Public Schools!
Sincerely,
Shane Lausch
